Infrastructure

S.Nijalingappa Medical College has occupied 16177 sq.m. Hospital OPD occupies 44204 sq.m The hospital IPD has 305760 Sq Ft of area. Then Hostel & Residential Complex has occupies 15012 sq.m. S.N Medical College is placed on an elevated area of land over 114 acres between the new (Navanagar) and the old city of Bagalkot on a hillock including hospital, well equipped laboratories, M.R.I, CT scan, blood bank, hostels, library, highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty, classrooms, play ground and other facilities to providing an environment for academic excellence.

Library

S.Nijalingappa Medical College Central Library that was built within 43,000 sq.m. It has the seating capacity for 500 students. As of today, the library offers any aspirations in the field including a collection of 13090 books, the most selective of 129 journals with 73 National and 56 International journals, 60 VCD’s in different units and also 306 CD-ROM’s are available. Working hours of this Library for weekdays about 09 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday.

The personal book reading room offers 24-hour services, including Sundays and holidays. “Library Manager” has a library management software to automate all its functions. EPAC can be used to explore an object with its details and availability and ease of reservation for members of the library. The library has 08 professionals and 06 non-professionals to provide essential services to students and teachers. Business. The library has a digital art library section. The digital library has 20 terminals with internet connection. There is a separate internet room for graduate students. There are 261 CDs in this section, affiliated with the Helinet Consortium of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The consortium provides access to more than 250 full-text online journals and 800 electronic books.

Examination and Lecture Theaters

S.N Medical College has 2 Examination hall. These have the seating capacity for 250 students. It is built in 250 sq.m. The college has a total of Five lecture Theatres. Among five of them, 4 Theatres are used by Medical COllege and another one is used by Hospital. Out of these, Lecture Hall 1, 2 having seating capacity for 225 students, LC 3 having seating capacity for 300 students, LC 4 having seating capacity for 400 students and LC 5 having seating capacity for 250 students . These are spacious with Air conditioned and Non Air-conditioned rooms and equipped with all modern facilities such as microphones and overhead projectors.

Facilities

Hostel

SNMC campus has separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus. The College hostel offers good water and mess facilities with hygiene.There are 124 rooms for boys with 370 students and 118 rooms for girls with 266 students and these rooms are shared with 2 or 3 students. The Medical College campus has 126 rooms for Interns with 1 or 2 people sharing, 152 rooms for residents with 270 people and 55 rooms for nurses.

It has residential quarters for teaching staff and non-teaching staff. These quarters have capacity for 117 and 120 persons. These are rooms and quarters are safe and well maintained. There is also Common rooms with attached toilets for boys and girls. These rooms are spread over 150 sq.m each.

Recreational Facilities:

SNMC has many facilities available on campus for students recreation such as Television, Music, Indoor and Outdoor games with separate playgrounds.  Outdoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, basketball, football, volleyball and indoor games like Table tennis, Badminton, Chess and Carom etc. to relieve their stress after classes and exams.Moreover, the college conducts regular art festivals, and popular music bands etc. The hostel campus also has Gymnasium for students with well developed equipment and well trained coaches.

Affiliated Hospitals

The Sangha started the Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar hospital in 2000. At the beginning, it had 300 beds that cater for health services to the people of Bagalkot and its surroundings and has become a recognition institute. The Sri Kumareshwar Hanagal Hospital and Research Center has 820 teaching beds. This hospital has 220 intensive care beds.. It is an ultra modern high-tech tertiary hospital. It is equipped with all the sophisticated equipment and devices to attend any emergency service throughout the day by experienced, well trained and dedicated staff.

Hospital facilities

The hospital has state of art technology facilities like CT scan, MRI, colour doppler, TMT, dialysis, Echocardiography, Lithography, Endoscopy, Ultrasonography, Laparoscopy, Lasers, Fundal camera, EEG, NICU equipments, EMG and audiometry. SN hospital has 14 hitech Major Operation Theatres with 146 Intensive Care beds.The causality occupies 20 beds and  trauma care occupies 6 beds including well equipped with ventilators, defibrillator, monitors with centralised, vacuum facilities.
