MBBS Course

The MBBS course is a four and a half year period followed by a one year compulsory rotating residential internship.
The lasting 12-month internship includes short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, child health, orthopedics, emergency medicine, and various specialties. All these are according to the guidelines of the Medical Council of India. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College offers 150 seats annually, which are divided into 50% for State Quota and remaining 50% for Management/NRI Quota.

Admission Procedure, Eligibility and Fees

Eligibility: Students should be 17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year to join MBBS Course. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years. All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or biotechnology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category).

Admission Procedure: It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. All the Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities will be based on NEET scores and the seats for all colleges / institutions / universities will be offered through counselling based on the eligibility Score/Rank, Preferences of colleges and seats available.

Admission to Dr. BR AMC is done through Karnataka State medical counselling for State Quota as 50% Seats conducted by State Medical Authorities and balance reserved for Management Quota 50% seats.

Hostels

Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC) runs hostels for the men and women students separately within the campus at Kadugondanahalli. The hostel has well-structured buildings with spacious rooms, lounges, and also with recreation room having color television sets in each of the hostels. There are 170 rooms are available. This Hostel has all other modern amenities, are built to ensure comfortable stay of the inmates and a proper atmosphere for study. These hostels with a view to ensuring the absolute safety of the inmates are fenced properly and secured.

The hostel mess is run by Student representatives in both men and women hostel under the supervision and guidance of the warden. This hostel mess is providing Healthy and hygienic food for every student. Students get their all services from this hostel without any struggle, all activities are maintained and managed by the college management.

Sports Other Facilities

This college has a very huge playground for outdoor games with all needed facilities. It has indoor games facilities with all equipment. There is a Gymnasium is available.

This College has transport facilities. Dr B R A Medical College buses run in the various parts of the city for commutation of students and staff from their destination to college and back home on nominal charges.
