MBBS Course

The MBBS course is a four and a half year period followed by a one year compulsory rotating residential internship. The lasting 12-month internship includes short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, child health, orthopedics, emergency medicine and various specialties. All these are according to the guidelines of the Medical Council of India. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

Eligibility: 17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years. All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or bio-technology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category)

Admission Procedure: It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. All the Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities will be based on NEET scores and the seats for all colleges / institutions / universities will be offered through counselling based on the eligibility Score/Rank, Preferences of colleges and seats available.

Admission in the NIMS Medical College Jaipur 100 % seats allotted by the Management on the basis of rules framed by the relevant bodies of the University and its to be open for Indian citizens and Non-Resident Indians. However, University shall also admit foreign students as per the guidelines of Central and State Governments. The candidate will be determined based upon competitive premedical entrance examination of NEET which is conducted by centralized competitive exam at the national level by NTA.

Infrastructure

The Nims Medical College and hospital is lush green campus and built up floor area covers 133175 Sq.mts with state-of-art infrastructure, and modern laboratory equipped with the latest technology, interactive pedagogy. The college has highly qualified teaching faculty and meets a recognized standard of excellence in education, practice and achieve the highest standards in professional skills.

The teaching is being updated latest E-learning system and all the Laboratory is a set of the slide for each student and is well equipped with individual microscopes. Lecture theatres total 05 nos available and out of 4nos in College and 1no in Hospital, all with Gallery type with Seating Capacity range 200 to 350. All Lecture Theater is having a separate audiovisual facility with equipment like OHP, Slide Projector, and LCD with the computer.

NIMS Jaipur has a separate block for Canteen and Auditorium with the capacity of 1000 and it’s Fully air-conditioned and well furnished and there is an Examination Hall with sitting capacity of 750 located in the college block. In Addition well-equipped gymnasium, indoor and outdoor games/sports facilities are at the service of students.

Facilities

Library

The NIMS Medical College Jaipur has a central library is established in the year 2008. The library is housed in a 2500 sq. m. and it has a rich collection of approximately 62166 books with Titles of 24718 on varied subjects. The subscription of national and international journals print version is 288 and back volumes Journals of 3580. Besides, the student can access to a host of e-journals around 14545. Also, the library is fully automated and all the in-house operations performed by the library management software. Moreover, The University has subscribed the Clinical Key, DELNET, EBSCO host and maupatra database providing access to full-text research articles and sector specific reports in different disciplines.

Hostel

NIMS Medical College Jaipur has provided separate hostel accommodation for UG students as boys 171 rooms and for Girls 154 rooms with accommodate 2persons each room. Hostel for Interns Boys 44 and Girls 36 rooms and for Resident Boys 98 rooms and Girls 36 rooms are available. All the hostel’s rooms are Hygiene, well furnished with adequate facilities provided. In addition, Hostel campus has separate Visitor room, AC Study room with Internet, TV, Music and small recreation room for indoor games. Each hostel has separate Mess and Dining hall facilities available. In Addition, there is 04nos of Canteen available for both Staff and Students within a campus.
